Clipper 1.2.4 and more!
Greetings! We wish you a happy new year and welcome you to the future - the year 2011! This is the fourth rojekti newsletter, and we have a lot of exciting stuff to tell you about today!
Clipper 1.2.4
The latest installment of Clipper, the #1 clipboard manager for Android is now out! Here's what's new:
Have you ever wanted to reorganize your snippets to a completely custom order? So have we, and we have decided to take action. After updating, you will find a surprise in the context menu for snippets!
The preferences for notifications have been a bit confusing in the past, and it wasn't exactly clear what each option did. Well, those days of tyranny are now officially over as a new revolution sweeps over the preferences screen: we have completely reorganized the notification settings! Oh, and that's not all - check out the Preferences -> Customize notifications screen if you want to hide the notification icon! (We're working on more customization options, too.)
Substitutions in snippets are also a target of constant improvements, starting with three new substitutions: "day of week", and textual date & time substitutions.
People upgrading to the Plus version of Clipper will be delighted to know that their clippings and snippets will now be transferred automatically from the free version, if it is installed!
We've also made some other subtle additions. Some bugs have also been squashed!
As always, a full changelog is available at our website. Download the update from the Android Market now!
Oh, and if you haven't upgraded to Clipper Plus yet, now would be a great time to do so - here's what you get for the low price of 0.99 euros (+ VAT, if applicable):
No limitations. Save unlimited clippings and snippets!
Use dynamic substitutions to add the current date or time to your snippets, with more coming soon!
Have a huge collection of clippings? Use the Search feature to find what you need!
And more!
Clipper Plus is available at your nearest Android Market.
Android 3.0
But wait, the newsletter isn't over yet! Have you heard of Android 3.0 yet? Version 3.0 introduces a gazillion of new features, and there's one that's very relevant: an improved clipboard! Starting with version 3.0, the clipboard functions like a modern Windows or OS X desktop: it can contain more than just plaintext data, including pictures!
Clipper doesn't support all that fancy stuff yet, but the latest version will run just fine on 3.0 and clippings that contain only text will be logged normally, just like on any other device or version of Android. We will be working hard on providing support for the new clipboard functionality, so stay tuned!
The End
That's it for today. Stay tuned for more!
